Timber Cove is located
approximately 17 miles north of the town of Jenner. Hwy 116
meets the coast highway just south of Jenner. Jenner is at the
mouth of the russian river.
From the Golden Gate Bridge: Follow Highway 101 north to the East
Washington Street exit in Petaluma, approximately 45 minutes north of
the Golden Gate. Follow East Washington Street through the town of
Petaluma. East Washington will turn into Bodega Ave and take you
through the expansive farm lands of western Sonoma County. The road
changes names but stay on the main road and it becomes Hwy 1 just
before the town of valley ford. There is a great market here for
last minute items before heading up to the coast. From there, you
will enter Bodega Bay, the charming seaside fishing town, famous for
the location of Alfred Hitchcock's movie The Birds.
From Bodega Bay, follow Highway One along the coast to Jenner, and the
mouth of the Russian River. Timber cove is approx 34 miles from bodega
bay.
An alternate route is to go north on 101 through the city of Santa
Rosa. a few miles north of town take the river road exit.
Go left and follow river road, which changes to Hwy 116 in the
town of Geurneville. Follow 116 to Jenner then Hwy 1 north to
Timber Cove.
Be advised there is vary little cell phone coverage north of Bodega Bay.
